TABY Tray Safety
Considerations
Design: The
tray was designed with both function and safety in mind. Functionally, the tray
fits a variety of car seats and strollers because of the adjustable nylon web
belt and fastening buckles. The tray can conveniently be installed and removed
from either side of the tray which promotes proper
installation.
Materials: The
plastic material used for the tray is ABS plastic. This is the same sturdy
plastic used for football helmits and other demanding applications. The
material is hard, yet flexible. It can easily be kept clean. It is not brittle
or subject to cracking. It will not warp in the heat of an enclosed parked car
in the summer. And, the white plastic source is not hot to the touch as other
interior car parts are when you first get into the car.
Testing: The TABY Tray has been tested by independent
laboratories mechanical, flammability and crash situations. The following
results were achieved:
Mechanical - Impact ( 16 CFR 1500.51):
PASSED
Mechanical - Torque/Tension (16
CFR 1500.53): PASSED
Mechanical - Sharp Points (16 CFR 1500.48): PASSED
Mechanical - Sharp Edges (16 CFR
1500.49): PASSED
Mechanical - Small Parts (16 CFR 1500.01):
PASSED
Flammability (16
CFR 1500.44): PASSED
30 Mile Per Hour Head-On Crash Test:
PASSED
The following
pictures were taken before and after the crash test. The dummy used was a
simulated 3 year old child weighing approximately 27 pounds. The car seat was
new and also pass the test. The car seat was not, however, reusable after the
test. Please don't underestimate the need for seat
belts!

Conclusion: The TABY Tray
Company is committed to bring only the best quality and safest possible
products to market. Each will pass through independent testing and quality
assurance.
